Eleventh Annual Open House
Dan Rouit Flat Track Museum
Sunday, May 18th, 2002

A very large festive crowd enjoyed very nice weather, tri-tip sandwiches and new additions
to the shrine of flat track racers and their machines of a by-gone era.

Murray Hoffman, Dan Rouit and Gene Romero at the
11th annual Flat Track Museum Open House.

This Champion framed bike originally was put together by Don Vesco for Motocrosser Murray Huffman to get his novice points in 1974.
The engine, a 1971 TD2-B was laying around Vesco's shop for a couple of years after it had powered Don to a 189.529 MPH  250cc
Streamliner record in 1972. The bike was latter sold to a gentleman who trail rode it in Baja for many years. The owner was
going to replace the Yamaha with a Rotax and somehow a call to Don lead to a saving of a milestone racer from the early 70's.
Don passed the bike on to former road racer Mark Seifried to restore and add to his collection of Yamaha racers.
