Montesa  414

1980 Montesa 414 - This is a pretty rare bike. 339 produced and less than half were imported to north America. The nice thing about Montesa's is all of the parts are still available. This bike is read to ride. Starts easy and runs good (contact me for video). Frame is powder coated, new wheels, tank/fenders / side plates/ seat are in great shape. New PFR pipe and silencer, forks rebuilt and it has $950.00 Noleen shocks. I am located in Florida. Alouette AX-125

Very rare 1974 Alouette AX-125 Motorcycle. Few built few surviving. On-off road bike. Restored to stock original condition. Sold with bill of sale. True barn find. I’ve included a lengthy description of work done. For serious collectors please read. Get it before Mecum. Will be sold with bill of sale.
Here are some of work that was done: Completely stripped it down. Spent 3 days removing siezed swingarm bushings. Had to jig them up on a milling machine to drill and mill out old ones. Machined new ones on the lathe out of bronze. Sandblasted all steel parts. Vapor blasted all aluminum parts including wheel hubs. Did not do center case on engine. Powder coated frame and swing arm. Primer, block sanded, and sealed fiberglass parts. Re-painted all shocks, springs, headlight bucket. Put original factory markings on the shocks. Sent rims out for re-chroming. Bought a new aftermarket cdi ignition system from Gary Ellis. Penton Facebook site. Replaced rear light lens. Curiously they used that on Norton Commandoes too. Replaced rubber carb boot to air box. Cleaned carb. Cleaned and repainted exhaust(great original condition, no dents) Cleaned and installed new fork seals and oil. Regreased headstock bearings. Replaced wheel hub bearings. Replaced spokes with custom made Buchanan stainless and re-spoked the original (re-chromed)rims. New felt padding under fiberglass seat/tank combo interface to frame rails…exactly as original. Repro brake and clutch lever covers . Replaced hand grips with NOS items . Polished all knicks and scratches out of levers . New kickstarter and shifter rubbers. Underside of original fenders re-gel coated with West Systems epoxy for added strength with. Original tires. Original 1974 license plate. New tubes and original rim locks. Replaced speedo cable. Specially made ( long story). They’re unavailable. New drive chain. All nuts bolts and fasteners replaced per original spec. I ran the bike before putting the tank on to make sure it started and fired. Did not use tank since then for fear of gas destroying the inner fiberglass from sitting. Wet sanded, cut and buffed the fiberglass pieces before final assembly. Many hours of research and hunting part sources for small details, etc. bike was made 2 years 73-74. Many didn’t survive mainly because they didn’t have the durability of the Penton’s, and Japanese motorcycles. Also Penton guys were scooping them up in later years for the Sachs engines. Honda CB500T

1975 Honda CB 500T Street Tracker - I have had this bike since 2007. I rode it in mostly stock condition for a few years, but it had a burnt valve and needed some attention in the engine. So I tore the bike down and began full mechanical rebuild and a mild custom build, the goal was to create a bike that had a factory racer of the period look. If Honda created a CB530TT street tracker back in the ‘70’s. Nothing on the re-build was ignored and the result is an amazing little bike. It stops like modern bike, handles great and has a lot of torque. It has around 2500 miles on it since a full re-build and was sitting at around 17K when I rebuilt it. It's a blast to ride and needs only a rider!

Some Details on what was done to the bike: Engine: Big bore, high compression pistons sourced from Team Hanson Honda, 530cc. Head rebuild, stock cams, Barnett clutch, Custom exhaust by me with old Kerker muffler off a GS550.
Chassis: De-tabbed frame, shortened sub frame for custom tracker seat. Custom “mid-set” foot pegs, cable rear brake and reversed shifter to eliminate need for linkage. Race Tech gold valve emulators and full rebuild on forks with brace.
    Hagon shocks valved and sprung for 180lb rider. Superbike bars, motogadget speedo, bar end turn signals, bates style headlight, custom switchgear to keep bars clean. Front brake is an A&P magnesium caliper, CB 750 disk, thinned, drilled and 12mm brembo master cylinder. Located: Sudbury, MA
