daily rider. After spending about a year on display in our living
room ( wife's idea - lol ) I took it out to the garage mid last summer
( 2018 ), filled with gas and oil and fired it up on the second kick (
no surprise ) after sitting for about 10 yrs. before top end rebuild (

Serious health issues forces the sale of my XS650's MUST SELL ASAP A) 1972 XS2 B) 1974 TX650
Both bikes have been tore down to the bare frame and
completly re-built and have good paperwork. They are both street legal
and ready to ride. The bikes are located in Marysville WA. (North of
Seattle) A) This bike was completely tore down to the bare frame and
modifications were done then it all got powder coated satin black. The
rebuilt motor that was used is from a 1978 model and has all new
gaskets and seals along with a new charging system and electronic
ignition system. The carbs on the bike are brand new Mikuni VM34's with
CNC machined aluminum intake manifolds and free flowing air filters.
The exhaust pipes are modified '72 head pipes with shorty mufflers
installed. The bike has an NOS Shell Thuett tank...used on flat track
bikes in the 60's and 70's. Twin petcocks feed the fuel to the carbs.
The seat is from Hot Wing Glass. The paint work was done in house using
Matrix Systems two part epoxy custom colors. The wheels were custom
built by Pro Wheel out in Granite Falls with a wheel conversion kit for
the rear wheel and all new wheel bearings and seals. The tires are
Shinko 268 series DOT approved dirt track tires with a 27.5 X 19 in the
rear and a 27 X 19 up front. The drive chain is brand new as well. The
brakes were not over looked and both calipers have been rebuilt and are
fed via braided stailess steel brake lines with the rear being fed
through a Brembo brake master cylinder and the front through a new
Nissan master cylinder. New brake pads as well. The instrumentation on
the bike is a simple digital unit by Acewell that provides all the
vital information to the rider is a compact unit. The lights are all
new LED units and are super bright. The suspension is all new with gas
filled shocks out back and the front forks have new progressive
springs, new dust covers and seals. There are new tapered steering
bearings in the headstock and new bronze bushings in the swing arm. B)
This bike is a 1974 Yamaha XS650 Standard (also known as a TX650) that
has been completely re-built from the ground-up.Certain modifications
have been done to the frame to accoommodate the intended changes and
then it all got media blasted and powder coated satin black for a long
lasting durable finish. The motor top end has been re-built with new
pistons & rings and all new gaskets and seals.A Mikuni VM34 round
slide carb has been used in conjunction with a Wise Guys 2 into 1
intake specifically jetted for the XS650 and coupled to a UNI free flow
air filter. The exhaust is a custom made scrambler style set-up with
internal baffles. (they appear to be straight pipes but they do in fact
have mufflers installed) A hand crafted stainless steel heat shield was
installed to help protect the left leg.The instrumentation is handled
via an Acewell MD052 digital information center with a digital read out
for both the speedo and tach along with the vital info like blinkers,
neutral light and so forth. Both the head light and tail light are new
LED units that are super bright and turn those dark roads into a
readable landscape. The tank we used on this bike is a hand made steel
representation of the classic Champion style flat track tank with dual
feed petcocks, and the seat set-up is from Hot Wing Glass. The paint
work was done by me using custom Matrix Systems colors ('67 Shelby blue
metallic) and pale gold pin stripes plus many layers of top coat for a
deep finish. The wheels are 19" front and rear utilizing a custom made
wheel conversion kit from O'Mar's engineering and design. Both wheels
are wearing Duro rubber. The front brakes have a Nissan master cylinder
fed through a braided stainless steel line and the rear brakes are fed
through a Brembo master cylinder. New brake pads front and rear were
installed during the re-build as well.

1961 Custom Triumph T110 Bobber by Angry Monkey Motorcycles
This Bike started its second life as a factory replacement
Duplex frame and a 1961 engine. The frame is a factory replacement and,
as was typical for the time, was not stamped with the VIN numbers of
the original frame. The bike has a clean, clear title which is off the
VIN number to the engine. The bike is titled as a 1962 Triumph T110, as
it was originally. This build was completed and delivered August 2013.
A later “unit” crankshaft utilized after the
sludge tube and oil passages were thoroughly cleaned and the rod
journals were mic’d for roundness and wear. They were found well within
spec to deliver reliable performance. On either side of the crank, new
British bearings were installed. Original connecting rods were used
after being sent to Dan at Franz and Grubb Engine in North Hollywood to
check, re-bush, weight-balance, and polish. Dan also bored and reamed
the new British production cylinders and fitted the new JRC pistons and
Hastings rings to the cylinders. New cam bushings were installed and
reamed to size. The cams used were new Mega-Cycle 510-05’s. The cam
followers were re-ground to “R” radius for better performance. The cams
were meticulously timed within 1 degree with dial indicators. The oil
pump was upgraded to a Morgo piston pump. A billet sump place replaced
the twisted original stamped plate. New British-made chrome pushrod
tubes replaced the tired original ones.
The cylinder head received new stainless steel
valves, hand lapped in, and new brass valve guides reamed to size as
well as mushroom tappet adjusters. All engine hardware was zinc-plated.
A FLO reusable oil filter is on the oil return line to clean and cool
the oil. Ignition is by a fully built, and re-magnetized Lucas K2FC
magneto. Air and fuel are mixed by a new Amal Monoblock carb with a
K&N air cleaner.
This transmission has a fully functional
“Slick-Shift” mechanism. All new British bearings, bushings, and kick
start racket gears, were installed along with all stainless socket head
bolts for the covers. The sprocket is a new British-made 20 tooth. A
Bob Newby Racing dry clutch was used to address several Triumph pre
unit flaws: Too small primary chain, too small clutch basket bearing,
and chronic primary case oil leaks. This clutch solves all those things
and also never has sticking plates or heavy clutch lever effort. It
also looks really nice with the optional “lightened” pressure plate.
The rims are 21” and 17” Sun Rims with polished
stainless steel spokes and nipples. The hubs are powder coated gloss
black. The tires are Metzeler Tourance
