Round one of the S.C.F.T.A. was moved to March 28th due to a rain cancellation of the original dated. On this ninety degree day one hundred ninety three entries filled thirty six heat races and twenty eight main events! Notables in attendance were two time world champion John Kocinski (who remains undefeated), AMA Superbike champion Josh Hayes, his wife Melissa Paris (who won her first time at Perris), Road Racer Jeremy Toye, and former Cycle News editor Scott Rousseau who is currently the managing editor of Dirt Bike. Despite the large turnout, the twenty lap Pro feature went off at 9:32 p.m. and the nights program was finished well under the 10:00 p.m. curfew. The next race at Perris for S.C.F.T.A. is set for April 18th, with the rain make-up date the very next day (Sunday) the 19th of April.

#82 Travis Petton the 4th turned 15.39 seconds on his way to victory in the Youth 85cc 2-stk Amateur Main.

#22 Ashton Carlson turned an 18.04 second lap, a full second faster than second place in the Youth 50cc 2-stk Novice Main Event!

#5 Rachel Schnakenberg topped the Youth 50cc 2-stk Beginner field and can turn a lap time about as fast as you can say her full name.

#95 Clayton Williams pulled out all the stops for the victory in the Youth 250cc Open Main. Williams fastest lap time was 15.12 seconds!!!!

#413 Melissa Paris (Mrs. Josh Hayes) left the asphalt behind and tried some dirt tracking. She won the Open Beginner main with a fastest lap time of 16.03 seconds.....

Running the number 21 on the Mr. Ed's 450 Honda framer, two time world champion John Kocinski set the fastest lap time of the night at 14.65 seconds! Kocinski the track record holder remains unbeaten on the Perris 1/4 mile oval....

The start of the Vet 35+ Expert final had #21 John Kocinski, #12e Paul Ott, #88 Jim Rosa, #57 Jeremy Toye, and #41 Josh Hayes all starting from the front row. Kocinski would go on to the victory to extend his unbeaten record at Perris....

#41 Factory Yamaha and AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes along with road racer #57 Jeremy Toye contested the Vet 35+ Expert class. Hayes also made the Pro Main event with his fastest lap time being 15.37 seconds!

#44e Nick Armstrong had established a four second cushion at the front when the race was stopped on lap twelve. Armstrong led the single file re-start and went on to victory in the twenty lap Pro Main event.

#44e Nick Armstrong came back to Perris for round #1 of the S.C.F.T.A. and earned the twenty lap Pro Main Event victory in the re-started final. Regardless, Armstrong whose fastest lap time was 14.80 seconds led each and every lap!

#25 Cameron Titterness won the 50cc 4-stk Beginner main, while #25 (second on the track) Travis Horn picked up the 50cc 4-stk Amateur victory...

#8 Skylar Schnakenberg shook off a nasty crash on the back straight to come back and put her stamp of authority on the 85cc 4-stk Beginner field. Her fastest lap was 18.33 seconds!

#46 Colin Petton & #99 Zack Earwood were scored seperately in the 65cc-70cc 4-stk Beg. & 2-stk Nov. classes. Petton had the fastest lap time at 18.56 seconds while Earwood went on to win his main event.

#47 Jim Wood was the class of the field in the Super Senior +60. Wood won the main event with a fastest lap time of 15.20 seconds!!!
