I am looking for a project bike for the spring. I would like to build a bike to race in Class 4 of the AMA Racing 2010
Vintage Dirt Track Series. Class 4: 1952 - 1968 Model Year 0 - 250cc (Two or Four Stroke)
I would most prefer a bike that would fit in this class, as no brakes are allowed in oval competition. I like this.
I prefer two stroke bikes - I will be happy with any bike I can race in Class 4 (BSA c15 is my favorite). It is a plus if it runs.
I would like to purchase a bike within 150 miles of my hometown Columbus, Ohio.
I would like to spend around $1000, more or less.

Magazines: Classic Bike and The Classic Motorcycle, 1990-2009
I've got 200 issues of Classic Bike, 1990-2009, plus a few from the eighties.
... And 136 issues of The Classic Motorcycle, 1990-2006.
Some years are complete; most are missing an issue or two or three.
If you're building or researching an old British, European, or Japanese
bike; or if you're trying to learn how to do some procedure in the garage,
or looking for design inspiration; or if you just like old motorcycles and
interesting writing and photographs, you need these.
The good part:
I want much, much less for them -- MUCH LESS! -- than what they sell for at swap meets, on eBay, etc. (See below.)
The other parts:
1. They're in perfectly decent shape if you want to read them, but not so
great if you're a collector/perfectionist. I've read them a lot over the years; it shows.
2. I would much prefer to sell them all in one go (although I'll grudgingly consider other ideas).
3. The buyer picks them up, in Oakland CA, is my other strong preference. (Although I'll consider, etc.)
I want $400 for all of them (plus various issues of BIKE and Performance
Bikes, which I'll throw in). That's < $1.20 apiece; they go for $8 and $10 on eBay.
If you want to discuss buying smaller batches or specific issues, I'll discuss too.

Case Repair
For more than 40 years I have been building H-D XL/XR engines and repairing cases. The most common of which is the
countershaft corner. Trock cycle used to make the replacement corner but has since stopped production. I believe that
Tedd Cycle/V-Twin has purchased all remaining stock and perhaps the tooling to manufacture the corner once again.
As a former H-D engineer I came into possession of the engineering drawings for the crankcases. I own and operate my
engine repair business in northern CA. I am attaching two photos of a typical countershaft corner repair. I can provide
this service to anyone owning an ironhead XL with the similar problem.

square tail piece. The frame is in great shape and I think all the
parts are here (so I was told). It had a 250 motor but that motor is in
a bike shop in Orland and the owner has been sick so I don`t have the
motor at this time. The guy I got the bike from fround a 125
motor but never got around to putting it in. This
would be a great bike to restore!! I have no idea what its worth so I`m
taking offers. I have the bike is storage but I`ll try to get pictures.

Harley-Davidson KR rear wheel steel rim (19"). Harley part # 43010-52R. What makes this rim unique is the part #
was stamped in the rim by the factory. Rim is straight, chrome has flaked in a couple of spots.
All KRs came with steel wheels from 1960 and down. this will make an older KR period correct.

I need to sell my 1978 Yamaha TT 500 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Rather that parting it out I would rather sell it complete. Please
understand that this is a Project Bike that needs work. It ran two
years ago and since then has not been started since. It is missing the
chain cover and left side cover. I would like to get $500 or best offer
to make room in my work shop for new projects. Engine compression when
tested was 75 PSI, after a shot of oil in the cylinder it went to 125
PSI. So it will need at least a set of rings to get running plus some TLC
